Hash Function
A hash function is a one-way cryptographic algorithm or computer program that maps any information (input) and to a unique series of letters and numbers (output). This process is non-reversible.
Having said that, with hashing, it doesn't matter if your input is a phase or an entire dictionary — the end result will simply be a series of letters and numbers.
